Last year's Little Miss Italia, Olivia Trivieri, crowns Melissa Coleman, 5, as the new Little Miss Italia during Italia in Festa, which took place last weekend in Thorold. Melissa sang "Kiss the Girl" and answered questions from a panel of judges to win the competition. She will now participate in various festivals and community events throughout the year.

New investment coming to former Atlas Steel facility
Gregg Cousins, vice president and general manager of MMFX Steel Canada, said the company will be hiring about 80 former Atlas workers to start steel melting operations sometime this fall. The company secured $55 million in financing to revamp operations at the old Atlas site, which closed its doors in 2003.
