Fundraiser for Roger Hill's family. Roger Hill was killed in a tragic workplace accident at Ridgemount Quarries on January 21, 2008. The family of Roger Hill have lost their home and are experiencing financial hardship. The fundraiser is being organized to help give the Hill family a second chance. 7 pm, Fort Erie Native Centre, Buffalo Road. Tickets $10/person or $15/couple. Monetary donations going directly to the family, or prizes that can be auctioned, will also be gladly accepted.

The Lundy's Lane Historical Society will meet for "Adversity and Loyalty: Niagara Falls First Residents," a presentation by Sherman Zavitz, the city's official historian. Society meetings are held the first Thursday of the month at 7:30 pm in the LaMarsh Room at the Victoria Avenue branch of the Niagara Falls Public Library. Memberships are now open: $10 per person per year, $12 for a family.
