Local children piled into the big red firetruck and had front row seats for an afternoon of education and fun at the Lincoln Fire Station 3 on Tallman Drive in Vineland.
The open house was part of Fire Prevention Week activities and drew a crowd to watch the action and join in a barbecue.
Firefighters performed emergency rescue extrications, and deployed an air bag outside of a car to show the intensity with which the safety device fills with air.
Sparky the Fire Dog was on hand and Lincoln Fire Rescue Service Chief Scott Blake and firefighters answered questions and distributed educational materials during the open house.
