"Harvest Fest" Dinner Dance. Good food, good music and good friends. The Niagara Supper Club kicks off its season at the Court House's Grand Hall with a harvest theme that includes beer-tasting with our good friends from the TAPS Brewing Company. The Shaw Guild is holding a Halloween Gala at 6 pm in the Shaw Production Centre, in support of the Shaw Festival. Costumes optional, masks recommended and fun required. The evening features our second Fine Art and Rare Wine Auction and includes a bubbly reception and canapés, 3 course dinner with Niagara wines. NIAGARA HISTORICAL MUSEUM

The attention Canadian art has been given this year is echoed in the Niagara Historical Museum's new exhibition Inspired Landscapes. The exhibition includes 24 works, dated from 1830 to 1917. Each illustrates how Niagara has inspired artists and been revered for its beautiful scenes. Inspired Landscapes will be on display until Oct. 6. 43 Castlereagh Street. 905-468-3912.
