Step back to the pioneer days of the 18th century this weekend, during the 20th annual Marshville Heritage Festival.
There is plenty to see and do at the pioneer-era festival, from rope making to cider pressing and car shows and entertainment. Marshville starts off tomorrow, Saturday, with a grand opening ceremony at 10 a.m.
Marshville started out in the 1980s with an idea. That idea grew into a village containing 17 heritage buildings and a festival that attracts a crowd of 30,000 to Wainfleet each year.
Marshville Heritage Festival takes place at the heritage grounds in Wainfleet, near Highway 3. Admission is $6, children 10 and under are free. Seniors pay just $5 on Saturday.
Marshville runs Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5:50 p.m. and Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
