re: "Thorold mayor giving away integrity," June 20:

Sadly, as I age, what I've come to realize is:

  • common sense and integrity flies out the window when people go into politics;

  • sometimes life just isn't fair;

  • sometimes things just don't change;

  • In this case, for the mayor's children, the statement "it's who you know" rings true.

    But, I can still dream and hope for change by voicing my opinion and marking the "X" in the right box.
