My sincere thanks to The Leader, Niagara this Week and Amanda Street for the picture and coverage, and to all who supported me during the MS Bike Tour on Aug. 24.
With a personal goal of $2,000, I raised $2,640 and pledges are still coming in.There were 629 bicyclists starting at 8:15 a.m. from King's Bridge Park in Niagara Falls. There were a number of families biking together. It was well organized with tour leaders for each group of riders and bicycle repair if a problem arose.
At 11 a.m. we were at the halfway point at Waverly Beach Park in Fort Erie for lunch. The last half of the tour was along the Niagara Parkway with two checkpoints and 75 kilometres later I was back in Niagara Falls at 1:15 p.m. for the barbecue and a complimentary massage. Thanks also to the volunteers who made it so successful.
Thanks again for your support. To make a donation, call 905-834-6205.
