First-ever show a hit

The inaugural Niagara Home and Garden Show was a success.

Presented by Niagara this Week Shows and the Grimsby Lincoln News in co-operation with the Kinsmen Club of Grimsby, the event, held last Saturday and Sunday, attracted nearly 2,500 people to Grimsby Peach King Centre.

Vendors, ranging from home improvement to health, were spread out on the floor of the east pad of the arena. Residents from all over Niagara attended to view products, speak with vendor representatives and get ideas for their own home and garden.

The Kinsmen Club of Grimsby was serving up meals for visitors, with a barbecue outside, along with sandwiches and cotton candy.

"It was an amazing first show," said show co-ordinator Kelly Lemire, a sales representative with Niagara this Week. "Overall feedback was great."

Ms. Lemire said it was good chance for residents to see a diverse group of Niagara's leading home-and-garden professionals all under one roof for the show.

"It was great to see such a wide variety of exhibitors and we look forward to expanding to an even bigger and better show next year," she said.
