Niagara Child and Youth Services has a new home.
The agency moved a few weeks ago from their Church street location in St. Catharines to 3340 Schmon Parkway in Thorold, near the Niagara Region headquarters.
To celebrate the move, NCYS will hold a community barbecue on Thursday, June 26, from 3 to 6 p.m.
There will be lots of fun activities for children and families to enjoy including balloons and face painting.
The agency will also be providing tours of the new facility.
Linda Langston, executive director of Niagara Child and Youth Services, said the barbecue is a chance to welcome parents and families to the new building and put minds at ease.
"We have very serious issues and people feel a lot of anxiety when they come here," she said.
"We hope the barbecue can break some of those barriers and put minds at ease."
The barbecue will also celebrate the involvement of families in the program.
